WATCH: Border Boss Tom Homan TROLLS AOC After Squad Member HURLS Threat!

Tom Homan, the Border Czar, recently took a jab at Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) following her warning that there would be "consequences" if Trump administration officials arrested Democrats for obstructing the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Homan's remarks came in the wake of news that Nashville Mayor Freddie OConnell is under investigation for allegedly assisting illegal immigrants.

Homan's comments were made during an interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News. The conversation revolved around the recent news that has left Democrats in a state of disarray, as the Justice Department is now pursuing local officials who attempt to hinder law enforcement. Homan took this opportunity to address Ocasio-Cortez's defiant threat.

According to RedState, Homan recalled, "A couple of weeks ago, AOC went on social media saying if we put a finger on any of her co-workers Congresspeople that were at our Newark facility there would be consequences." He then added, "Well, guess what? We did it. Im waiting on the consequences.

Homan was referring to a social media post by Ocasio-Cortez, where she warned that if lawmakers were held accountable for their actions, she would retaliate. "You lay a finger on someone, on Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman, on Representative ... on any of the other representatives that were there, you lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem," she cautioned.

Homan initially responded to the threat with laughter, sarcastically stating he was "extremely intimidated" and implying that the New York socialist was being unreasonable. He emphasized, "When you cross that line, we will ask the Attorney General to prosecute, and that's what we're doing."

This is exactly what transpired a few days later. Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) was filmed swinging fists and forearms at federal law enforcement officers outside the Delaney Hall ICE detention facility in Newark, New Jersey. She has since been charged with assaulting and impeding those agents.

In response to this, several Democratic lawmakers have announced their intentions to intensify efforts similar to those that led to McIver's arrest, indicating they are not concerned about potential charges.

Homan further expressed his commitment to enforcing immigration laws, particularly in so-called "sanctuary cities" that attempt to evade law enforcement efforts. "The (Nashville) mayor is no different, he stated. Look, Ive said from day one, you cannot cooperate with ICE if thats what you want to do, but you cant get in our way, and you cant impede our efforts. Or you cross that line, we will seek prosecution.

The case of McIver serves as a stark reminder that no one is above the law. It remains to be seen how Ocasio-Cortez will respond to this development, given her previous threats of "consequences."

This situation underscores the ongoing tension between the Trump administration and Democratic lawmakers over immigration enforcement, a contentious issue that continues to divide the nation.
