JUST IN: GOP Firecracker Drops Bombshell Ad For 2025 Governor's RaceWATCH!

Winsome Earle-Sears, the Republican Lieutenant Governor of Virginia, has launched a new campaign advertisement as part of her gubernatorial bid.

The ad, titled "Always," is the second video released by the Earle-Sears campaign, focusing on her unique background as a first-generation American, a Marine, and a working-class mother. The campaign has invested $1 million in the 30-second video, which emphasizes her collaboration with Virginia's Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin to reduce taxes and enhance education.

"I'm no typical politician," Earle-Sears asserts in the ad. "I'm a first generation American, joined the Marines, graduated college as a working mom, raised a family, became a grandma, 1st woman elected lieutenant governor."

As reported by the Daily Caller, Earle-Sears has received the endorsement of Youngkin, who is unable to seek a second consecutive term due to Virginia state law.

The gubernatorial race between Earle-Sears and her Democratic opponent, former Virginia Representative Abigail Spanberger, is one of the most closely watched contests of 2025. It is expected to provide early insight into the performance of the two parties in the 2026 midterm elections.

A recent poll commissioned by Virginia FREE, a business advocacy organization, revealed that Earle-Sears is slightly trailing Spanberger, with 48% to Spanberger's 52%. Another poll released on the same day showed Spanberger with a significantly larger lead of 17 percentage points.

In the ad, Earle-Sears subtly criticizes her Democratic opponent's connections to Washington, stating, "If you want another typical politician, look to Washington. But if you want a United States Marine who will always fight for Virginia, I'd be honored to have your vote." Spanberger served three terms in Congress before launching her gubernatorial bid.

Earle-Sears has recently criticized Spanberger's liberal voting record. The former Democratic congresswoman voted against legislation that would have barred biological males from participating in girls and women's sports and a bill aimed at curbing illegal immigration, known as the Laken Riley Act, which received bipartisan support and was signed into law by President Trump in January.

"She [Spanberger] has voted against building the wall," Earle-Sears told Fox News in February. "She has voted for amnesty, for criminal illegals, she has voted against qualified immunity to so that the morale of our law enforcement will stay up and their personal possessions wont be subject to being taken from them because they are doing their job keeping us safe."

Earle-Sears has also confronted Spanberger over her shifting stance on Virginia's right-to-work law, which prevents mandatory union membership or payment of union dues as a condition of employment.

Despite Spanberger's previous support for legislation that would have effectively banned state right-to-work laws, she announced on May 8 that she does not support a full repeal of Virginia's statute. In response, Earle-Sears has challenged Spanberger to sign a pledge to preserve the commonwealth's right-to-work law.

While Spanberger may have several advantages, including superior fundraising and significant Democratic voter enthusiasm, Earle-Sears has vehemently disputed suggestions that a Democratic victory in November is a foregone conclusion.

"I am focused on what matters: making Virginians lives better," Earle-Sears told the DCNF on May 21. "Washington chatter wont distract me from that." This statement underscores Earle-Sears' commitment to the people of Virginia and her determination to improve their lives, regardless of political noise.
