In Greenville, South Carolina, a trans activist has been apprehended by state authorities following a threat to assassinate Rep. Nancy Mace.
Samuel T. Cain, who goes by the name "Roxie," was detained by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division. Cain was subsequently booked into the Greenville County Detention Center on Thursday, facing a charge of threatening the life of a public official.
The alleged threat, posted online, read in all caps, "Im going to assassinate Representative Nancy Mace with a gun and Im being 100% dead a**." Despite the severity of the threat, the US Attorney's Office for the District of South Carolina has opted not to pursue prosecution.
According to The Post Millennial, Rep. Mace has been subjected to a series of attacks and violent threats from left-wing activists due to her outspoken stance against the inclusion of trans-identified males in women's spaces. This is not an isolated incident; in December, LGBTQ activist James McIntyre faced arrest for assaulting a government official.
Additionally, in November, a Portland-based Antifa and transgender activist known as Andromeda Boyle, previously Joshua Ryan Matthew Boyle, made violent threats against Mace. Boyle's Instagram post, which tagged Mace, stated, I hope that one day I do find you in that women's bathroom, and I grab you by your ratty looking f*cking hair and drag your face down to the floor while I repeatedly bash it in until the blood's everywhere and you're dead.
These incidents highlight the ongoing tension and hostility directed at Rep. Mace, raising concerns about the safety of public officials who express conservative viewpoints. As this story develops, it underscores the broader debate surrounding free speech and the protection of individuals who advocate for traditional values in the face of aggressive opposition.
