Karmelo Anthony, currently out on bail for the murder of 17-year-old Austin Metcalf, will be permitted to graduate from high school.
The tragic incident occurred on April 2 at a track meet in Frisco, Texas, where Anthony fatally stabbed Metcalf in the heart, leaving him to die in the arms of his twin brother.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the Frisco Independent School District has reversed its initial decision to expel Anthony, allowing him to graduate from Centennial High School. This development was confirmed by Anthony's spokesman, Dominque Alexander, who stated, They were literally trying to expel himperiod. Expulsion would have prevented Anthony from graduating.
While Anthony will receive his diploma, he will not participate in the traditional graduation ceremony or walk across the stage with his peers. Alexander noted, We are in arrangements of doing an early graduation. They have agreed to allow him to graduate.
The altercation at the track meet began when Metcalf requested Anthony to vacate the Memorial High School teams tent, as Anthony was not a student there. The situation escalated, resulting in Anthony drawing a knife from his backpack and fatally stabbing the honor roll student.
In the aftermath, the Anthony family has raised over $525,000 through GiveSendGo, acquired a new Cadillac, and relocated to a $900,000 residence. Despite admitting to the stabbing, Anthony faces first-degree murder charges. He was released from custody and placed under house arrest following a reduction of his bond to $250,000. Frisco ISD has refrained from commenting on the decision regarding Anthony's graduation.
