A deported migrant from the United States is now at the center of a suspected terrorist plot targeting a Lady Gaga concert in Brazil.

Brazilian authorities have apprehended 44-year-old Luis da Silva, who allegedly intended to attack fans at the singer's concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro.

The event, which drew a staggering 2.5 million attendees, was nearly marred by da Silva's plan to "livestream the execution of children and set up bombs close to the stage," as reported by the New York Post.

According to Breitbart, da Silva, who was recently deported from the U.S. for undisclosed reasons, was arrested alongside a 17-year-old accomplice just hours before the concert. The duo reportedly used the platform Discord to incite others, including teenagers, to commit acts of violence against children and members of the LGBTQ+ community attending the event. Officer Felipe Curi of the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police disclosed that da Silva accused the singer of being a Satanist and intended to perform a ritualistic killing during the show.

Sao Paulo congressman Erika Hilton took to social media platform X to highlight da Silva's leadership of a group that "promoted pedophilia, misogyny, and LGBTphobia through social media." The swift action by Brazilian authorities, led by Rio de Janeiro Civil Police Chief Luiz Lima, who heads the Department for the Repression of Computer Crimes, was instrumental in averting a potential tragedy.

Lima emphasized the significance of the operation, stating, "It was an integrated action that saved hundreds of lives. These groups, which are organized, have goals to achieve notoriety, to gather more spectators, more participants, the majority of whom are teenagers, many of them children."
