Trump 'Considering' Reinstating Some Things DOGE Cut!

In a recent discussion with ABC News, President Donald Trump highlighted the financial prudence of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), emphasizing the substantial savings achieved under its initiatives.

He expressed confidence in the department's cautious approach, despite having to reverse some of its budgetary reductions. "There are things that Im considering, right now, putting back. But overall, weve saved hundreds of billions of dollars," Trump stated, underscoring the fiscal benefits realized.

As reported by Breitbart, ABC News Senior National Correspondent Terry Moran raised concerns about the potential adverse effects of DOGE's budget cuts. Moran pointed out that while reducing wasteful government spending is crucial, the cuts have impacted essential programs, including foreign aid and critical research at the National Institutes of Health. He questioned whether DOGE's actions were excessively hasty and reckless.

In response, President Trump defended the department's actions, asserting, "No. I think DOGE has been look, they saved $150 billion, we saved. Thats a lot of money." He acknowledged ongoing investigations that could further increase savings and reiterated the importance of fiscal responsibility. "There were some things where, when I heard about them, I put them back, as you know," he added, indicating a willingness to adjust policies when necessary.

The conversation reflects a broader debate on balancing fiscal conservatism with the need to maintain vital government programs. While the President remains committed to reducing government expenditure, the dialogue highlights the complexities involved in achieving such goals without compromising essential services.
