In a recent move, the White House has unveiled a video aimed at prompting illegal immigrants in the United States to voluntarily leave the country.
The video features stern warnings from President Donald Trump and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem, cautioning these individuals to either self-deport or face the harsh reality of forced deportation.
According to Breitbart, the video, disseminated via the White House's official account, depicts an individual lounging on a couch, attentively viewing messages from Trump, Noem, and Border Czar Tom Homan. The video is underscored by John Denver's classic, "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
In the video, Trump can be heard issuing a stark warning, stating, People in our country illegally can self-deport the easy way, or they can get deported the hard way. This is followed by a clip of Noem, who reinforces the message with a stern, Leave now. If you dont, we will find you and we will deport you, you will never
The video then transitions to a clip of Homan, recorded during the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC), where he asserts, Entering this country illegally is a crime and were not going to forgive it. The video continues with a clip of Border Patrol chief Mike Banks, who during an interview on CBS Newss Face the Nation, warns that those who cross the border face a much greater chance of apprehension.
Banks can be heard saying, If you cross the border, your chances of being apprehended are much greater, and if you are apprehended, youre going to be removed from the country.
The video concludes with the sound of knocking, followed by a voice declaring, United States Border Patrol! Open the door. The final scene showcases a screen displaying the CBP Home app.
Breitbart Newss John Nolte previously reported that in March, Trump announced the introduction of the CBP Home app, a tool designed to facilitate self-deportation for illegal immigrants.
The CBP One app, launched under the Biden administration, allowed individuals seeking to enter the U.S. illegally to file asylum claims, thereby granting them temporary stay until their claims were processed. However, this system has been criticized for its inefficiency, with many claimants failing to attend their asylum hearings or refusing to leave once their claims are rejected.
Trump, in a video shared by the White House, criticized the Biden administration for exploiting the CBP One app to allow over a million aliens to illegally enter the United States. He stated, People in our country can self-deport the easy way or they can get deported the hard way, and thats not pleasant. He further announced, Now, my administration is launching the CBP Home app, to give people in our country illegally an easy way to leave now and self-deport voluntarily.
This move by the Trump administration underscores the conservative perspective on immigration, emphasizing the importance of law and order, and the need for individuals to respect the country's immigration laws. It also highlights the ongoing debate over the handling of illegal immigration, a contentious issue that continues to divide the nation.
