According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Gov.
Brian Kemp had nothing good to say about former President Donald Trump on Saturday. His scathing comments to Republican leaders were a clear message that it was time to move past the sour grapes of the 2020 election debacle and Trumps continued obsession with the outcome.
The Gateway Pundit reports that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp certified the 2020 election in the state that was uncertifiable. Hundreds of thousands of ballots showed up after election day in 2020, giving Joe Biden the lead three days after the election by 12000 votes. Kemp certified these results, no questions asked.
Georgia Senator William Ligon, a former judge, along with President Trump, identified issues with thousands of ballots after the election. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Kemp allegedly ignored the findings of Trump and his auditor, Ligon. Raffensperger allegedly promised to follow up with Trump and Kemp, but the follow-up has not occurred.
The Gateway Pundit also notes that Georgians have been busy since the 2020 election, with a focus by GOP members on attending meetings and replacing those who helped put Kemp and Raffensperger in their positions.
Kemp has rebounded with his course of action. He has an agenda: to divorce himself from the official state party, and he wants his donors to join him.
At a luncheon on Wednesday for the Georgians First Leadership Committee, Kemp said a few words about the 2022 midterm and that we can no longer rely on the traditional party infrastructure to win in the future. He told the high-dollar donors he wants to build on our victories from November.
Just north of Atlanta in Cherokee County, things have been busy with supporters wanting to ensure that there will always be free and fair elections. Theyve been doing this by being involved, taking on leadership roles, and replacing those who support Kemp.
Kemp responded by reportedly creating a new charter for the GOP with plans to call it the Cherokee County Republican Coalition. The group is registered in the state of Georgia as a non-profit.
