These remarks followed Clooney's latest critique of Joe Biden.
As reported by Breitbart, Clooney remains unfazed by Trump's disparaging comments. In an interview with CBS's Gayle King, Clooney stated, "I dont care. Ive known Donald Trump for a long time. My job is not to please the president of the United States. My job is to try and tell the truth when I can and when I have the opportunity. I am well aware of the idea that people will not like that." Clooney's stance underscores his commitment to speaking his mind, irrespective of the potential backlash.
The actor further elaborated on his perspective regarding freedom of speech during an appearance on CNN. "The idea of freedom of speech is you cant demand freedom of speech and then say, But dont say bad things about me,'" Clooney remarked. "Thats the deal, you have to take your stand if you believe in it. Take a stand for it and then deal with the consequences." This assertion highlights Clooney's belief in the fundamental right to express one's views, even if it invites criticism.
