Joe Biden emerged from his usual seclusion to address the national conference of Advocates, Counselors, and Representatives for the Disabled in Chicago on Tuesday evening.
During his speech, Biden criticized the Trump Administration and Elon Musk's DOGE team for their efforts to reduce government waste and fraud.
As reported by Gateway Pundit, this marked Biden's first significant public address since his departure from office. Notably, his previous remarks at the National High School Model United Nations went unnoticed by the media. At 82, Biden appeared to struggle with his delivery, recounting an anecdote from his childhood involving "colored kids" on a bus.
He stated, "And Id never seen uh Id never seen hardly any black people in Scranton at the time and I was only going on 4th grade. And I remember seeing the kids going by at the time called colored kids on a bus going by." Biden claimed this experience ignited his youthful outrage, though the veracity of this account is questionable.
In a sudden shift, Biden began to vociferously champion dignity and Social Security, exclaiming, "Its about dignity. Simple dignity! Everyone! Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity regardless of who they are!" He also criticized the DOGE team, questioning their motives: Why are they doing this now? Biden asked. Well, theyre following that old line from tech startups. The quote is move fast, break things. Theyre certainly breaking things.
Biden expressed concern over the impact of these changes, stating, Its devastating for millions of people, and the psychological pressure we put people under by having this debate is absolutely devastating.
He further lamented the rapid changes under the new administration, saying, In 100 days this new administration has done so much damage & so much destruction. Its kind of breathtaking it could happen that soon. These remarks underscore Biden's apprehension about the current political landscape and its implications for American society.
