A man has been taken into custody for allegedly making death threats against Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard and her family.
This arrest follows the apprehension of a Wisconsin teenager accused of murdering his parents in a purported plot to assassinate President Donald Trump.
As reported by The Post Millennial, the Department of Justice announced that 24-year-old Aliakbar Mohammad Amin was detained for allegedly sending threatening text messages to Gabbard and her husband between March 29 and April 1, 2025.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the inquiry, and Amin faces charges of transmitting interstate threats. In one of the messages, Amin allegedly warned Gabbard's husband, "You and your family are going to die soon ... I will personally do the job if necessary." Another text ominously declared, "Death to America means death to America literally, Tulsi is living on borrowed time."
The arrest affidavit includes screenshots of the texts, with one stating, "Prepare to die, you Tusi, and everyone you hold dear. America will burn." Amin is also accused of posting an image of Gabbard and her husband with a gun pointed at their photo. A search of Amin's residence revealed a firearm. Another threatening message read, The home you two own is a legitimate target and will be hit at a time and place of our choosing."
In response to Amin's arrest, Gabbard expressed gratitude on X, acknowledging the efforts of law enforcement: "Thank you @FBI, @USMarshalsHQ, and local law enforcement for your service and dedication in apprehending this radicalized, dangerous criminal who repeatedly threatened the lives of me, my family, and @realDonaldTrump. Thank you for your tireless work every day keeping the American people safe."
