In the current political landscape, it's becoming increasingly evident that the Democratic Party is struggling to find its footing, a situation that has been escalating since the emergence of Donald Trump on the political scene in 2016.

This observation is not just a conservative viewpoint but is also being noted by various political analysts and the public at large.

According to the Western Journal, CNN political analyst Harry Enten recently highlighted the Democrats' predicament during a mid-March segment. He was particularly critical of the dismal polling for Democratic congressmen. "Look at the disapproval [ratings]," Enten exclaimed, "Sixty-eight percent of all voters disapprove of how Democrats are doing in Congress."

Enten's astonishment at these figures may come as a surprise to those who have been observing the Democratic Party's trajectory. From its aging leadership to the radical left-wing faction and even the moderate members, the party appears to be in disarray. This lack of direction and leadership is not appealing to the voting public, which is reflected in the disapproval ratings.

The senior leadership of the party, including Rep. Nancy Pelosi and Sen. Chuck Schumer, seem more focused on their personal political survival than providing effective leadership. The younger members, such as Reps. Jasmine Crockett and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, have their own issues. Even moderate Democrats like Sen. John Fetterman are not immune to criticism.

Enten, in a subsequent segment, quoted basketball legend Charles Barkley to describe the Democrats' situation: "To quote Charles Barkley, the Dem Partys brand is terrible, terrible,'" Enten said. "Dems in Congress approval? A record low 21% overall & more Dems disapprove (49%) than approve (40%)."

He further pointed out that Democratic voters want their representatives in Congress to counter Trump's agenda more aggressively. "Dem voters want Dems in Congress to fight Trump (65%) & 77% say theyre not fighting him enough. Yikes.

This presents a significant dilemma for the Democrats. On one hand, they are being criticized for not doing enough to counter Trump's agenda. On the other hand, Trump's policies are popular among a significant portion of the electorate. This leaves the Democrats in a precarious position where they risk alienating their base or a large segment of the population.

The Democratic Party's current predicament is a reflection of its inability to effectively counter conservative policies and viewpoints. This situation, while unfortunate for the party, is a result of its own actions and decisions.

The party's struggle to find a balance between appeasing its base and appealing to the broader electorate is a challenge that it will need to address if it hopes to regain its footing in the political landscape.
