In a late-night video series reminiscent of her viral clips from last year, Kamala Harris, the unsuccessful Democratic Party nominee for the 2024 presidential election, celebrated the Democrats' triumph in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race.
The videos, which sparked renewed speculation about Harris's alleged alcohol issue, saw her lauding Wisconsin Democrats who backed the victorious Susan Crawford. She also took a veiled jab at Elon Musk, who reportedly invested $20 million in the unsuccessful Republican candidate, Brad Schimel.
In her video, Harris stated, "Judge Susan Crawfords victory is a victory for working people in Wisconsin. She will take her seat on the bench and continue to uphold the rights and protect the freedoms of all people in her state." She further expressed her gratitude to the @WisDems team for their dedication during the election, promising to continue pushing for progress in collaboration with leaders nationwide.
According to Gateway Pundit, Harris, who is reportedly contemplating a 2026 run for California governor or a return race for the 2028 Democrat presidential nomination, earlier praised Cory Booker for his marathon 25 hours and 5-minute-long floor speech in the Senate. She stated, "The true measure of a leader is not based on who you beat down but on who you lift up. For over 24 hours, my friend @CoryBooker stood on the floor of the Senate and lifted up the voices of the American people harmed by the current administration. We must continue to fight for the best of who we are as Americans. Thank you, Cory, for your leadership."
Last month, Politico reported that Harris is seriously considering a run for governor. At a pre-Oscars party, when asked about her plans to enter the California governors race, Harris reportedly stated that she would make a decision by the end of the summer. In recent conversations with supporters, allies, and trusted aides, Harris has indicated that she plans to make a decision in a few months.
Harris's timeline, as reported, is the most explicit indication yet that she may join the race to succeed the termed-out Gavin Newsom in California. Allies suggest that a victory would likely eliminate the possibility of a 2028 presidential run, which Harris is still considering.
Harris's aides highlight her longstanding interest in serving as the chief executive of the world's fifth-largest economy and potentially becoming the first Black woman governor in America. Harris has previously won statewide races in California for attorney general (and winning reelection) and U.S. senator, as well as winning elections twice for San Francisco district attorney.
However, her 2020 presidential run in the Democrat primary was a significant failure, leading her to withdraw from the race in late 2019 before any votes were cast, as it became apparent she would suffer a significant defeat in her home states primary, polling in single digits.
Harris entered the 2024 general election as the Democrat nominee for President when Joe Biden was forced to withdraw his bid for a second term in late July. However, she lost all seven key swing states to President Trump in the 2024 race. Despite Harris securing 75 million votes to Trumps 77 million votes in the popular vote count, the decisive Electoral College vote saw Trump decisively defeating Harris by 312 votes to 226 votes.
