In a dramatic turn of events, Elon Musk has publicly addressed allegations made by conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair regarding a significant reduction in child support payments.
St. Clair, who recently made headlines by claiming Musk fathered her youngest son, broke her silence over the weekend to discuss the financial implications of her situation.
Last month, St. Clair, 26, revealed, "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father." She explained her previous decision to keep this information private, citing concerns for her child's safety and privacy.
"I have not previously disclosed this to protect our childs privacy and safety, but in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause," she stated. St. Clair emphasized her desire for her child to grow up in a "normal and safe environment," urging the media to respect their privacy.
As reported by Gateway Pundit, St. Clair, who resides in a luxurious Manhattan apartment allegedly funded by Musk, disclosed that she sold her $100,000 Model S Tesla due to a 60 percent cut in child support. "Im selling it because I need to make up for the 60 percent cut that Elon made to our sons child support," she explained. When questioned about Musk's motivations, she remarked, "Yeah, thats his modus operandi, when women speak out." St. Clair also noted that she has not communicated with Musk since February 13.
In response to these claims, Musk took to social media on Monday afternoon, expressing uncertainty about the child's paternity while revealing substantial financial support provided to St. Clair. "I dont know if the child is mine or not, but am not against finding out. No court order is needed," Musk stated on X. He further disclosed, "Despite not knowing for sure, I have given Ashley $2.5M and am sending her $500k/year."
St. Clair quickly responded to Musk's statements, challenging his narrative. She asserted, "Elon, we asked you to confirm paternity through a test before our child (who you named) was even born. You refused." She also clarified the nature of the financial support, stating, "And you werent sending *me* money, you were sending support for your child that you thought was necessary until you withdrew most of it to maintain control and punish me for 'disobedience.' But youre really only punishing your son."
St. Clair criticized Musk's use of his social media platform to disseminate what she described as "derogatory messages" about her and their child, accusing him of attempting to control the narrative. "Its ironic that your last effort in court was to try to gag me while you use a social media channel you literally own to distribute derogatory messages about me and our child to the entire world. Its all about control with you, and everyone can see it," she stated, concluding with a pointed remark, "America needs you to grow up, you petulant man-child."
As this public dispute unfolds, questions remain about the veracity of the claims and the potential impact on both parties involved. The situation underscores the complexities of high-profile personal matters played out on a public stage, where privacy and control are often at odds.
