NIH's New Woke Workplace Guide Stirs Up MAJOR Controversy

Written by Published

The NIH is promoting a new workplace guide that is the definition of woke, and its a huge source of controversy.

The guide encourages inclusivity and includes guidance on things like pronouns. For example, according to the NIH, intentionally using what the woke community deems is the incorrect pronoun when addressing someone violates their civil rights.

The guidelines specify how professionals must use gender pronouns to affirm someones gender. It provides several examples of pronouns and even offers ways to avoid pronoun mistakes.

According to Fox News, For professionals to facilitate inclusively, affirming and welcoming workplaces, the gender pronouns guide hashes out a series of different mistakes to avoid while using pronouns, including not describing pronouns as preferred or chosen as that allegedly implies that gender identity is a preference or a choice when it is neither.

Superficial devotion is also not okay. Thats when someone pretends to support a cause but doesnt actually support the cause or do so in a non-offensive manner. The guide discourages things like having everyone say their pronouns because this will be uncomfortable for anyone unprepared to come out. Theres also a comprehensive list of pronouns, including some you may not have heardfor example, zis, eirs, ters, hers, vers, and another version of eirs.

The guide promotes inclusion in the workplace and makes everyone comfortable. It lists ways that employers can help make employees comfortable. For example, it encourages employers to tell employees their preferred pronouns and put them at the end of emails to encourage employees to do the same and make everyone feel included and comfortable. This can prevent misgendering.

The document then tells us how using the wrong pronoun violates someones civil rights. It points out that misgendering someone is hurtful. According to Fox News, The document also outlines how Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects employees from workplace harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, and national origin and that the Supreme Court ruled in 2020 that Title VII also protects employees against discrimination based on an employees gender identity or sexual orientation.

How do you feel about it?
