In a troubling incident, a Florida resident has been apprehended for allegedly making threats to assassinate former President Donald Trump and to "launch fking missiles" targeting New York City.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Justin Blaxton from Loxahatchee, reportedly made a series of alarming phone calls to the police, as detailed in audio recordings released by law enforcement.

According to The New York Post, Blaxton's threats were made on February 25 through multiple 911 calls in Palm Beach, the location of Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate. In one of the calls, Blaxton allegedly stated, "I need a ride to the airport to be taken to The White House so I can assassinate the President." He further threatened, "Im about to launch the missiles to destroy New York." In another call, he claimed, "Im a Confederate soldier and Im looking to get revenge. My missiles are attracted to Donald Trumps tower."

Blaxton also reportedly instructed officers to "tell the FBI Im a mass murderer" and expressed a desire to confront Trump, ominously declaring, "tomorrow is his last day on planet Earth." Although police were unable to locate Blaxton at his residence that evening, he was apprehended the following day before any threats could be acted upon.

In court proceedings on Wednesday, Blaxton faced charges of threatening to discharge a destructive device, falsely reporting an explosive, and making false 911 calls. His interactions with local law enforcement have previously involved mental health issues, as reported by CBS 12. Currently, Blaxton is held on a $25,000 bond and is scheduled for a mental health court hearing on April 16.
