Senator Tim Scott has formed a presidential exploratory committee.

According to Fox News, Scott will never back down in defense of the conservative values that make America exceptional. In particular, Scott decided to highlight his faith in his introductory video. He wanted to make the race about how he believed his country was starting to slip from his fingertips in some ways, and he tried to renew America to the place it once was. Tim Scott decided to film his video around the Fort Sumter National Monument. This fort long protected Charleston, SC, during the Civil War. Scott grew up in the Charleston area and decided that now was the right time to announce his bid on the 162nd anniversary of the Civil War.

Scott said at the top of his video:

On this day, April 12, 1861, in this harbor, the first shots of the Civil War [were] fired, and our country faced the defining moment: Would we truly be one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Americas soul [was] [put to the test] - and we prevailed. However, he said, Today, our country is [once] again [being] tested. Once again, our divisions run deep, and the threat to our future is real.

Tim Scott aimed at Democrats and said:

Joe Biden and the radical left have chosen a [culture of grievance] over greatness. Theyre promoting victimhood instead of personal responsibility, and [theyre] [indoctrinating] our children to believe we live in an evil country.

Scott is the only Black GOP Senator who insists that Democrats use race as a weapon. He even said:

When I fought [back] against their liberal agenda, they called me a propa token. Because I disrupt their narrative, I threaten their control. They know the truth of my life disproves their lies.

In his video, Tim Scott also wanted to make it clear that he came from a modest upbringing and that this had a significant impact on his life overall. After all, he doesnt feel he could have gotten nearly as far as he did without his modest upbringing. He said he was raised by a single mother in poverty. The spoons in our apartment were plastic, not silver.

While forming his exploratory committee, Scott said he would defend the Judeo-Christian foundation our nation [is] built on and protect our religious liberty.
