In a recent broadcast, MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace delivered a fervent commentary on the events of January 6, 2021, at the Capitol, while discussing former President Donald Trump's gesture of honoring 13-year-old Devarjaye "D.

J." Daniel as an honorary Secret Service agent.

Daniel, who is courageously battling brain cancer, was presented with credentials by Secret Service Director Sean Curran, marking a poignant moment as the young Houston-area resident received a heartfelt embrace. Over the past four years, Daniel has been sworn in as an honorary member of more than 900 police departments.

As reported by the Daily Caller, Wallace, during a panel discussion with MSNBC colleagues Rachel Maddow, Jen Psaki, Stephanie Ruhle, and Michael Steele, reflected on the Capitol riot after expressing her joy for Daniel's recognition. "I think this was a lesson in finding one thing that you let yourself feel. And I let myself feel joy about DJ, and I hope hes alive for another, you know, 95 years and I hope he lives the life he wants," Wallace remarked.

She further expressed her hopes for Daniel's future in law enforcement, saying, "He wants to be a cop. He knows what he wants to do, and maybe when you have childhood cancer, that crystallizes for you. And I hope he has a long life as a law enforcement officer."

Wallace's commentary took a critical turn as she continued, "But I hope he never has to defend the United States Capitol against Donald Trumps supporters, and if he does, I hope he isnt one of the six who loses his life to suicide, and I hope he isnt one who has to testify against the people who carried out acts of seditious conspiracy and then lived to see Donald Trump pardon those people."

During the ceremony, Trump highlighted Daniel's remarkable resilience, noting that the young boy, accompanied by his father, Theodis Daniel, had defied medical expectations by surviving over six years after being given a mere five months to live.

Diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2018, Daniel attended the event in a Houston Police Department uniform, as reported by the Houston Chronicle. Trump addressed the gathering, stating, "Tonight, D.J., we are going to do you the biggest honor of them all. I am asking our new Secret Service director, Sean Curran to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service."
