S. Department of Justice's Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, has announced forthcoming federal hate crime indictments targeting campus activists accused of supporting Hamas and intimidating Jewish communities.

Terrell, who serves as senior counsel to the assistant U.S. Attorney General for civil rights, conveyed this development during an interview with Israel's Channel 12 News. He stated, "You see all these disorderly demonstrations, supporting Hamas and trying to intimidate Jews? We are going to put these people in jail not for 24 hours, but for years.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Terrell criticized the Biden administration for its inaction on hate crime charges, particularly in major urban centers like New York and Los Angeles, where Jewish individuals have faced harassment and exclusion from educational institutions.

"Local prosecutors did not take action to file hate crime charges," Terrell remarked, adding, "We are about to do more in a month than Biden and Harris did in four years." He revealed that the initial indictments are anticipated within the next week and a half, with significant developments expected in the coming month. Terrell assured Jewish communities worldwide, "Help is on the way."

The task force, established on February 3 following an executive order by President Donald Trump, aims to intensify efforts against antisemitism. This order mandates that every federal agency submit a report within 60 days detailing their initiatives to combat antisemitism, especially in the wake of the October 7 attacks. Terrell emphasized the potential financial repercussions for universities failing to protect Jewish students, stating, "When you see universities start losing millions of dollars in federal funding, you're going to see a change in their behavior."

In a bold move, Terrell announced a forthcoming tour of ten universities accused of neglecting Jewish students and permitting harassment. He conveyed the Trump administration's stern warning to these institutions: "Protect Jewish students like you protect all other students, or we'll sue you and take away your funding." He further elaborated, "We're going to make sure they don't get a penny, we're going to financially attack any university that doesn't protect students, and if it's public, we're going to take away the funding."

Since the Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023, Terrell has observed a significant surge in antisemitism globally. He underscored the broader implications of the task force's mission, stating, "Our fight is not just here in the United States; we are trying to set an example for the entire world. This initiative reflects a commitment to uphold traditional values and ensure the protection of individual freedoms, particularly for Jewish communities facing increasing threats.
