GOP Rep Sounds The Alarm On Trump's EOs!

Rep. Troy Balderson (R-OH) has voiced concerns over the increasing frequency of executive orders issued by President Donald Trump, suggesting that they are "getting out of control.".

He underscored the importance of Congress stepping up to its legislative responsibilities during a speech at a Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce business luncheon. Balderson stated, "Congress has to decide whether or not the Department of Education goes away. Not the President, not Elon Musk. Congress decides." While acknowledging the necessity of some executive actions, he stressed that "Congress has to do their work."

According to The Post Millennial, Balderson took to X on Thursday evening to express his support for Trump's overarching goals, stating, "I fully support President Trumps agenda to rein in our bloated federal government & put Americans first. Now, its time for Congress to act. Its up to us on Capitol Hill to make permanent his executive actions, ensuring continuity in public policy from one administration to the next." This sentiment reflects a broader conservative desire for legislative action to solidify the president's initiatives.

In his address, Balderson also touched on pressing issues such as inflation, the challenges faced by small business owners, and the potential of solar energy projects. President Trump, in his initial weeks in office, has been proactive in signing numerous executive orders, with around 200 executed shortly after his inauguration.

These orders have primarily focused on reducing DEI initiatives within the federal government, addressing illegal immigration, and bolstering the fossil fuel industry. More recently, executive actions have targeted spending reductions across various executive agencies, including the Department of Energy.
