Federal Employees Beware: Elon Musk's New Directive Could Cost You Your Job!

Elon Musk has announced a significant development concerning federal employees, stating that they will soon receive an email requiring them to account for their accomplishments over the past week.

Musk emphasized that a lack of response would be interpreted as a resignation. "Consistent with President @realDonaldTrumps instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week," Musk declared in a post on X. "Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation."

As reported by Breitbart, this announcement aligns with President Donald Trump's recent executive order, which mandates federal agency leaders to prepare for substantial workforce reductions. The order specifically instructs the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to devise a plan aimed at downsizing the federal workforce through efficiency enhancements and natural attrition.

In response to Trump's directive, federal agencies have initiated layoffs to address the issue of an oversized government. Katherine Hamilton of Breitbart News previously highlighted that the Office of Personnel Management had directed agencies to dismiss nearly all probationary employees. This directive has affected employees within the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Department of Education, and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Furthermore, Acting Undersecretary of Defense Darin Selnick recently disclosed that the Pentagon is set to terminate approximately 5,400 probationary workers from its civilian workforce. Similarly, around 3,600 probationary employees at the Department of Health and Human Services have reportedly lost their jobs.

These actions underscore a broader effort to streamline government operations and reduce taxpayer burdens, reflecting a commitment to conservative principles of limited government and fiscal responsibility.
