WHOA! Another No-Show To Trump's Inauguration Will Be...

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has confirmed her absence from the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Donald Trump, set to take place on Monday.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Pelosi's decision follows a severe hip injury she sustained during a European trip. The former First Lady, Michelle Obama, has also announced her non-attendance, despite her husband and former Presidents George Bush and Bill Clinton confirming their presence alongside their wives.

Pelosi's absence from the inauguration is noteworthy, given her presence at Trump's first inauguration in 2017. The reasons behind her decision to abstain this time remain undisclosed by her spokesperson. According to Politico, a number of other Democratic lawmakers from the House of Representatives are also anticipated to forgo the ceremony.

Pelosi's political career has seen her attend a total of 11 inaugurations, beginning with that of former President John F. Kennedy.

The octogenarian politician recently underwent hip replacement surgery following a fall during a trip to Luxembourg. The trip, part of a bipartisan congressional delegation, was intended to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge.

Interestingly, Pelosi's injury coincided with a fall suffered by then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) within Congress. These incidents sparked online discussions concerning the implementation of term limits for senators and House members.

Despite the absence of some key political figures, Trump's inauguration is expected to draw a crowd of high-profile attendees. These include Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, tech executive Elon Musk, and Amazon founder and CEO Jeff Bezos, representing a cross-section of the nation's most influential tech industry leaders.
