WOKE Activist Granted Key To City In Austin, Texas Despite Pushing To Abolish Police And Prisons

The woke city of Austin, Texas, gave a key to the city to a radical protestor.

The protestor advocates defunding the police and doesnt think anyone belongs behind bars. Instead, murderers should roam free, and other violent criminals should receive alternative punishment.

According to the NY Post, Despite the city setting a record for homicides in 2021 after dramatically cutting its police budget and 911 response times climbing to hours even for serious crimes, Chas Moore, head of the Austin Justice Coalition, believes police and prisons should be abolished.

Chas Moore feels the city can reach a point where prisons and police officers are unnecessary. Officials have encouraged the radical speaker by naming October 22, 2022, Chas Moore Day.

Moore says that when we send criminals to prison, we punish them but dont help them. He was sent behind bars for robbery at the young age of 17. The convicted felon says we should hold people accountable, such as making someone clean the victims house for a few weeks after they robbed a person. He doesnt think this will result in another robbery or violent crime. Instead, he says it gives criminals a chance. Moore believes this would work with every offense.

The group, which also pushes for the decriminalization of marijuana, has already disrupted contracts between the police and the city this year. Typically, the city negotiates a four-year contract with the police. This year, the agreement was only one year. According to the NY Post, City Hall offered police a one-year contract instead of the typical four-year contract because the elected officials want to wait until May when voters will decide if they want to create a police accountability office backed by Moores group.

As a result, the city is down 358 officers. After the police union rejected the short contract, almost 100 more officers quit. Many are leaving because of the anti-cop attitude and low morale.

The felon brushes off his felony and pretends his DWI never happened. Somehow, his radical agenda is left unchecked in the city, and he has face-to-face meetings with the mayor. As a result, citizens are not even getting a police response to severe crimes unless it is a violent crime that is currently happening. His radical approach does little more than put citizens in danger.
