In a move that underscores his commitment to reinvigorate the nation, President-elect Donald Trump is set to host a rally in Washington, D.C., on January 19, a day before his inauguration.

The event, dubbed the "Make America Great Again Victory Rally," will commence at 3 pm at the CapitolOne Arena, according to insiders who spoke to CBS News.

As reported by The Post Millennial, the president-elect is expected to address the gathering, with other speakers yet to be announced. The venue, a familiar ground for the Washington Capitals NHL team and the Washington Wizards NBA team, can accommodate approximately 20,000 attendees. The following day, Trump will take the oath of office at the US Capitol, with several events lined up to commemorate the occasion.

This rally marks Trump's first in Washington, D.C., since the "Stop the Steal" rally on January 6, 2021. The previous rally, held outdoors at the renowned Elipse near the White House, was followed by the notorious riot at the US Capitol. Given the two previous attempts on Trump's life, one on the campaign trail in Butler, PA on July 13, and the other at the Trump International Golf Course in Florida, security measures are anticipated to be stringent.

Earlier this week, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser held a meeting with Trump. The Hill reported that the mayor described the meeting as "great," and that the two discussed "our shared priorities" for Trump's second term. The inauguration, scheduled for January 20, coincides with numerous inauguration parties planned throughout the district. This rally, therefore, serves not only as a prelude to the inauguration but also as a testament to Trump's unwavering dedication to the principles of limited government, individual freedom, and free-market economics that define conservative values.
