Not Very Noble: Biden Uses Remarks On Jimmy Carter's Death To SKEWER Trump...

The passing of former President Jimmy Carter, who died at the ripe age of 100, has prompted a wave of tributes from across the political spectrum, including from President Joe Biden.

Biden, who described Carter as a dear friend, extolled the late President as the epitome of "what it means to live a life of meaning and purpose, a life of principle, faith, and humility.

When queried about what President-elect Donald Trump could learn from Carter's legacy, Biden's response was unequivocal. "Decency, decency, decency," he said, adding, "Can you imagine Jimmy Carter walking by someone who needs something and just keeps walking? Can you imagine Jimmy Carter referring to someone by the way they look or the way they talk?" As reported by The Post Millennial, Biden's comments were a clear jab at Trump, who has been known to mock political rivals based on their appearance, including Biden himself.

Trump, however, set aside political differences to express his condolences for Carter's passing. "I just heard of the news about the passing of President Jimmy Carter. Those of us who have been fortunate to have served as president understand this is a very exclusive club, and only we can relate to the enormous responsibility of leading the greatest nation in history," Trump said. He acknowledged the challenges Carter faced during his presidency, stating that he "did everything in his power to improve the lives of all Americans."

Trump further expressed his gratitude for Carter's service, saying, For that, we owe him a debt of gratitude. Melania and I are thinking warmly of the Carter family and their loved ones during this difficult time."

Before his tenure in the White House, Carter was a peanut farmer and served in the US Navy and as governor of Georgia. His presidency, which began in 1976, was marked by record inflation and the Iranian hostage crisis. Despite these challenges, Carter was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in brokering a peace deal between Israel and Egypt. However, his term ended after a defeat by Republican challenger Ronald Reagan.

In 2023, Biden revealed that Carter had requested him to deliver the eulogy at his funeral. While the final funeral arrangements are still pending, public memorials are being planned in Atlanta and Washington DC, according to the Carter Center.
