In the early hours of Monday, a man was apprehended following a brutal attack on a subway passenger in New York's C Train.
The assault, which involved the suspect slashing the victim's neck, occurred around 1:30 am as the train traversed through Midtown. The victim managed to disembark at the 50th Street station and was subsequently rushed to the hospital. The assailant, however, remained onboard until the 59th Street-Columbus Circle Station, where he was eventually arrested, with charges currently pending. The motive behind this gruesome act remains shrouded in mystery.
According to Gateway Pundit, this incident is not an isolated one. It follows closely on the heels of another violent episode on Christmas Eve at the Grand Central subway terminal, where an individual was apprehended after slashing two people with a knife. One of the victims, a 26-year-old woman, recounted her harrowing experience, stating, "No one called 911. No one in Grand Central called 911. It was my neighbor. I was on the phone with my neighbor when it happened, and she called 911."
The city's subway system seems to be under siege, with another man, aged 56, being set ablaze at New York Penn Station just last week. This incident was preceded by a viral video showing a woman being set on fire on a subway train by an illegal immigrant, while bystanders merely watched and filmed the horrifying scene. The alleged perpetrator, Sebastian Zapeta, a Guatemalan illegal immigrant, had previously crossed into the US in Arizona on June 1, 2018, and was deported a few days later on June 7, 2018.
While the city grapples with this surge in lawlessness, New York Governor Kathy Hochul appears to be more focused on combating fossil fuels and importing more violent criminals from the Third World. This, coupled with the fact that leftist prosecutors are targeting innocent Americans and Donald Trump, paints a grim picture of a city in the throes of chaos.
The question that remains is how long will the city's residents have to endure this wave of violence and lawlessness before effective measures are put in place to restore order and safety.
