WATCH: Bejamin Netanyahu Heads Into MAJOR Surgery While Leading Airstrikes On Yemen!

Amidst a turbulent political climate, Israel's Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is set to undergo a surgical procedure for prostate removal.

The announcement came following a diagnosis of a urinary tract infection last week, which, according to his office, is a result of "a benign enlargement of his prostate." The surgery is scheduled amidst a time when Netanyahu, at 75, is spearheading Israel's efforts in various conflicts across the Middle East, particularly against Iran and its affiliated terrorist groups.

As reported by Fox News, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) recently initiated a series of airstrikes against the Houthi rebels in Yemen. The strikes were aimed at several locations, including the Sanaa International Airport. The IDF, in a statement released on Thursday, said, "The Houthi terrorist regime has repeatedly attacked the State of Israel and its citizens, including in UAV and surface-to-surface missile attacks on Israeli territory." The IDF further detailed that the targets included "military infrastructure used by the Houthi terrorist regime for its military activities in both the Sanaa International Airport and the Hezyaz and Ras Kanatib power stations." The IDF also targeted military infrastructure in the Al-Hudaydah, Salif, and Ras Kanatib ports on the western coast.

The Houthi rebels, who have a stronghold over most of northern Yemen, have been launching attacks on Israel for over a year in support of Hamas terrorists. They have attempted to impose an embargo on Israel by targeting cargo vessels traversing the Red Sea with missiles and drones. This sea route is a vital artery for international trade.

In the midst of these international conflicts, Netanyahu is also embroiled in a domestic corruption case. The Prime Minister began testifying in early December and is expected to continue for several weeks. The trial, which began in 2020, revolves around allegations that Netanyahu traded regulatory favors for positive media coverage in covert dealings with media tycoons.

The trial has seen around 140 witnesses, including notable figures such as a former prime minister, ex-security chiefs, and media personalities, although this number is less than the initially expected 300. As Netanyahu faces both international and domestic challenges, the coming weeks will be crucial in shaping Israel's future. This report includes contributions from Fox News' Chris Pandolfo.
