Mayor Adams' Surprising SLAMMING Of The Dems: Could This Be The Reason Behind Trump's Victory In The Big Apple?

New York City's Mayor, Eric Adams, recently criticized the Democratic Party's strategy during the presidential election, suggesting that their focus on painting Donald Trump as a potential "Hitler" or fascist, rather than addressing the genuine concerns of the American populace, led to Vice President Kamala Harris' defeat.

The Mayor, a Democrat himself, shared these views during an interview with Fox News's Martha MacCallum.

According to The Post Millennial, the conversation also touched on the issue of illegal immigration, which has been a significant concern for the city. MacCallum questioned Adams about the surprising victory of President-elect Donald Trump, who managed to garner substantial support in the five NYC boroughs, traditionally Democratic strongholds. She sought Adams' perspective on where the Democratic Party might have faltered.

Adams responded, "We stopped speaking to people, we started speaking at people. Not hearing the people and you engaging in dialogue while individuals are fearful of affordability, losing their home, the future of their children, and you're having these intellectual conversations, and people are, like, saying, what the hell are you talking about?"

He further added, "I'm hurting and you're asking, 'Is Donald Trump Hitler or not?' It's just not talking to the real needs of the people."

The Post Millennial reported a significant increase in Trump's performance in the Bronx and Queens compared to the 2020 elections, with a rise of over 22 percentage points. Trump also made gains in Long Island and every other city borough, including Manhattan.

Mayor Adams also expressed his dissatisfaction with the Biden administration's open border policies and New York City's sanctuary city status. He argued that the city's policies have inadvertently supported illegal immigrants involved in criminal activities, contrary to the original intent of the legislation.

Adams explained, "Sanctuary city is totally different from a manmade crisis that we saw. This is what sanctuary city states: If you're in this city and you are paying taxes, you buy a loaf of bread, you pay taxes, those are your tax dollars. You have a right to the services of the city."

He further clarified, "We're saying that, as a sanctuary city, if you are here and you are participating legally, you are provided the services as you start your pathway to get citizenship or legal status. But it is not a safe haven for those who are committing criminal acts or trying to harm migrants, asylum seekers, and other New Yorkers."

Following Trump's reelection in November, Mayor Adams took decisive action, reducing taxpayer-funded services for illegal immigrants and pledging support for Trump's Border Czar Tom Homan in his efforts to deport illegal migrant criminals.

This move aligns with the conservative perspective of prioritizing law and order, and ensuring that immigration policies do not inadvertently encourage criminal activities.
