In a recent development, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has leveled accusations against the U.S. Government, alleging it to be "in control" of the unidentified drones that have been sighted over New Jersey and neighboring states in the past few weeks.
These unidentified objects have been a cause for concern among the residents and lawmakers of both New Jersey and New York, as they have been consistently spotted in the Garden State skies.
According to Mediaite, the Georgia Republican made a bold statement on X late Saturday, asserting without any substantiation, "The government is in control of the drones and refuses to tell the American people what is going on. It really is that bad." Greene's allegations underscore a growing sense of unease among citizens who feel left in the dark about these mysterious occurrences.
On Sunday morning, Greene shared a video that had gained popularity on X after being posted by Joe Rogan. The video featured a drone manufacturer making audacious predictions about the nightly sightings in New Jersey. The man in the video, without providing any evidence, suggested that the drones could be on a mission to locate anything from missing Ukrainian nuclear warheads to radioactive waste.
Greene, in her post, expressed gratitude for the man's bravery in sharing his professional insights about the drones. She stated, "Im thankful for the courage displayed by this man to go public and explain his knowledge of the drones from his professional viewpoint. Its shameful our government doesnt explain the truth as well. If Americans are in danger of a nuclear or dirty bomb, they deserve to know."
While some of the objects seen over New Jersey have been identified as commercial aircraft and lawfully-operated small planes, others appear to be drones of varying sizes and shapes. This has added to the growing apprehension among the public.
Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, in a recent appearance on ABC, expressed his concern over the lack of transparency from the government. He warned that if people in the state don't start getting answers, they might resort to taking matters into their own hands. Christie also criticized the current Democratic New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and President Joe Biden, stating, Ive lived in New Jersey my whole life. This is the first time that Ive noticed drones over my house. And I was in a restaurant in Monmouth County on Friday night. Had people at the bar coming up to me and saying, Governor Murphy, wont tell me anything,' he said. The president wont tell me anything.
The lack of information from the government, coupled with the increasing sightings of these unidentified objects, continues to fuel the anxiety among the citizens. The question remains: when will the government provide the much-needed clarity on this issue?
