In the wake of President Donald Trump's recent nomination of Pete Hegseth for a position in his administration, a flurry of allegations has surfaced against Hegseth.
These allegations range from previously dismissed sexual assault claims to purported drinking issues, backed by the testimonies of ten anonymous witnesses.
According to The Blaze, Hegseth recently engaged in a candid conversation with conservative talk show host Megyn Kelly, where they delved into the allegations that have been levied against him since his nomination. During their discussion, Kelly posed a pointed question to Hegseth, asking, Do you think youre being Kavanaughed right now?
Hegseth responded by recounting a recent private conversation with a colleague. I had a member not 45 minutes ago look me in the eye in private, just he and I, and say, That's what they're trying to do to you. ... That's their playbook. Get ready for more, and they're going to make it up, just like they have so far all anonymous, all innuendo, all rumor, nothing sourced, no verification, and they're just going to keep doing it because you're a threat to them, Hegseth shared.
Hegseth, acknowledging the validity of these words, expressed his belief that he is indeed being "Kavanaughed" because he poses a threat to the established system. However, he also made it clear that he intends to follow in the footsteps of Brett Kavanaugh by standing his ground. Kavanaugh stood up, and he fought, and he won, said Hegseth. What youre seeing right now with me is the art of the smear.
Dave Rubin, a commentator on The Blaze, commended Hegseth's resolve to resist the system that seems intent on his downfall. Rubin emphasized the importance of not succumbing to falsehoods, citing Jordan Peterson's advice Dont apologize unless youve done something wrong. Rubin further underscored the lack of evidence against Hegseth, stating, There is no evidence that Pete Hegseth has done anything wrong.
Rubin lauded Hegseth's understanding of the situation, stating, You can just see it so clearly he gets it! That's the beautiful thing that has shifted in culture. So many of us get it and have decided that we will not partake in the lie anymore. We will not let you take out good people.
