Boxing Legend Vs. Podcast King: Wladimir Klitschko Challenges Joe Rogan Over 'Russian Propaganda'

Written by Published

In a recent development, Wladimir Klitschko, the renowned Ukrainian boxer, has leveled accusations against Joe Rogan, the popular podcast host, for allegedly disseminating Russian propaganda through his podcast.

The allegations stem from a recent episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, where Rogan and his guest, music producer Scott Storch, expressed their relief over Donald Trump's presidential victory.

According to The Independent, the conversation on the podcast took a turn towards the decision by President Joe Biden to supply American-made, long-range missiles to Ukraine. This move, intended to aid Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, was criticized by Rogan as a potential trigger for World War III.

Storch voiced his sentiments, stating, I feel safer knowing that Trump is in office. Rogan responded with his concerns about the missile deployment, saying, What I dont feel safer about is that now theyre launching missiles into Russia. He further questioned the timing of such a significant action, suggesting that there should be a pause on such decisions that could potentially instigate a global conflict.

Rogan's comments did not sit well with Klitschko, who took to Instagram to express his outrage. In a direct address to Rogan, Klitschko said, You talk about these American weapons being sent to Ukraine, which you believe will lead to the third World War. So, let me tell you that youre repeating Russian propaganda. Putins Russia is in trouble, so they want to scare you and people like you.

Klitschko, whose brother Vitali serves as the mayor of Ukraines capital, Kyiv, further accused Putin's Russia of wanting to "destroy Ukraine quietly" and urged America not to abandon countries that are defending freedom. He concluded his statement by extending an invitation to Rogan to discuss the war on his podcast.

Rogan, a known supporter of Donald Trump, endorsed him in the final hours of the 2024 race after hosting him for a three-hour podcast episode. This episode, where Trump claimed he could end the Russia-Ukraine conflict within one day, has since garnered over 50 million views on YouTube. Rogan was also seen with Trump at the UFC 309 event at Madison Square Garden.

In a related development, President Biden recently authorized Ukraine to use long-range missiles against Russia, a move that Russian President Vladimir Putin has described as an act of war. This decision comes in response to North Korea's decision to send thousands of troops to Russia in support of Putins invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously argued that the US ban on such weapons had made it impossible for Ukraine to counter Russian attacks on its cities and electrical grids. Meanwhile, Trump's pick for national security adviser, Mike Waltz, expressed Trump's concern about the escalating conflict between Russia and Ukraine, stating that the war must be brought to a responsible end.

As the situation continues to unfold, the world watches with bated breath, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. The role of influential figures like Rogan in shaping public opinion cannot be underestimated, and it is hoped that they will use their platforms responsibly in these trying times.
