In a recent gathering at the White House, President Biden humorously cautioned a group of Democratic donors and insiders against diving into the White House pool.

The event, a black-tie dinner held on the South Lawn, was organized as a token of appreciation for their support throughout his tenure.

As reported by Page Six, the President, amid laughter, addressed the attendees, saying, "Good evening, everyone If you have a seat, please take it. Dont jump in the pool!" The event took place near the White House pool and fountain, adding a touch of elegance to the evening.

The President, alongside First Lady Jill Biden, expressed his gratitude to the attendees, stating, "Jill and I are hosting this dinner tonight for a very simple reason to say thank you. Thank you to so many dear friends." He further emphasized the importance of their support in his journey to the White House and in accomplishing his goals, saying, "We began this journey to redeem the soul of the nation and define the light in the darkness. And I never could have gotten to where the White House has become without you and we never could have gotten as much done as we did without you. And thats not hyperbole. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

The guest list was a who's who of Democratic supporters, including significant donors, members of Biden's cabinet, and long-time friends. Among the attendees were former and current ambassadors, Governor Tim Walz, a former Democratic vice presidential nominee, and his wife, Gwen, who were seen conversing with Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo.

However, not all invited guests were present. Some donors who had contributed $250,000 reportedly skipped the event. An anonymous source claimed that those who declined the invitation referred to it as 'the losers party,' expressing their reluctance to be associated with the Democrats following their defeat to Donald Trump and their dissatisfaction with the $1.5 billion spent on the unsuccessful campaign.

Despite this, another attendee painted a different picture of the event, describing it as a "real love fest," and a "last hurrah." The evening also featured musical performances, adding to the festive atmosphere.

In his speech, the 82-year-old President praised his wife, Jill, but did not mention Trump or the election, instead asserting, "Our cause endures." The White House has yet to comment on the event.
