Trumps New AG Pick Has Liberals Sounding The ALARMHeres Why Theyre Worried (Trust Us, It's A Good One!)

In a recent development, President-Elect Donald Trump has chosen former Florida attorney general Pam Bondi as his nominee for the position of the United States attorney general.

This decision comes in the wake of former Florida representative Matt Gaetz's withdrawal from the nomination due to a series of allegations involving illicit payments to underage females. The announcement has sparked a wave of concern among liberal factions, as Bondi is seen as a competent executor of Trump's agenda.

According to The New York Post, Jason Johnson, a college professor and contributor to MSNBC, expressed his apprehension about Bondi's nomination during a conversation with MSNBC host Ari Melber. Johnson stated, Occasionally, attorneys general try to behave like they are not the personal lawyer of the President of the United States. That is completely out the window. Pam Bondi is exactly what I was saying in the last segment that we should all fear, because shes competent.

Johnson further emphasized Bondi's proficiency, stating, We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job. He added, So if anyone on the Democratic side or anyone who cared about liberty or justice was thinking Well maybe Matt Gaetz will screw this up and that will give us time, no. Pam Bondi knows what she is doing.

The professor also highlighted Bondi's experience within Florida's government, suggesting that she is well-versed in leveraging state power to advance conservative agendas. She knows what shes doing about immigration. Remember, Florida is one of those states that has been very aggressive about migrants and deportation and moving people to different states and everything else like that. Florida has enacted all sorts of rules and laws to curtail students and what they can do on campuses and finding legal justifications for manipulating education money, Johnson explained.

In his conversation with Melber, Johnson described Bondi as a "dangerous and effective pick," suggesting that her nomination could have more severe implications than Gaetz's would have, despite his questionable moral background.

In a previous segment, Johnson had cautioned about the potential consequences of a more experienced nominee, stating, It is, but I guess Im from the perspective of, I never necessarily thought that Matt Gaetz was a sincere pick. Trump can call all he wants, but I suspect there were many, many people lined up to come after him who wont be as offensive, who might actually be more effective.

Johnson concluded his remarks by expressing concern about the potential for an authoritarian presidency under Trump, facilitated by an effective attorney general like Bondi. He said, So while it might be a loss in the battle, I dont necessarily think its a victory in the war against what may be an AG that ushers in an authoritarian type of presidency that affects the fundamental rights of American citizens. As the nation awaits the confirmation of Bondi's nomination, these concerns underscore the potential challenges that lie ahead for those advocating for liberty and justice.
