Megyn Kelly "F-cking Sick" Of Calls To Ban Guns After Nashville Shooting

Written by Published

The chorus of calls for gun control has already begun after the latest school shooting in a Nashville school earlier this week.

This shooting left 3 children and 3 adults dead, as well as the shooter. The New York Post reports that Megyn Kelly has said she is f--cking sick of hearing people call for new gun control laws concerning this issue.

Kelly said on her show: Theres something wrong with our society, and I for one am fking sick of the knee-jerk Its the guns. Get the guns,

She pointed out there are somewhere between 330 and 400 million guns in America by all reasonable estimations. That is why she feels that calls for gun control will fall on deaf ears and that this will not be feasible when handling the problem.

She went on to discuss the idea that we truly need to turn inward and look at ourselves and what the situation is in this country related to mental health and other issues. She feels that we must consider what we are doing when trying to help those who might be violent, dangerous, or otherwise pose a risk to society.

The New York Post reported that the shooter stormed Covenant School in Nashville and began to open fire on people in there. The shooter killed three children (all 9) and three adults in the school. Police arrived on the schools campus and fatally shot the shooter to neutralize the ongoing threat.

Police later stated they found a stockpile of guns and a manifesto written by the shooter at her home. The New York Post reports that the manifestos contents have not yet been revealed to the public. The media is likely to request those documents at some time, but it is not clear if they will be released at any point in time.

Authorities think this was a planned attack as the shooter is said to have been a former student at the Covenant School. There has also been considerable media coverage about the potential gender identity of the shooter. Regardless, Megyn Kelly believes that much of the public conversation about gun control completely misses the point and is not how this country needs to respond to an attack like this. Its something that will continue to be debated among the public, but Kelly has staked out her ground on this issue.
