In a recent virtual meeting with Voto Latino, President Joe Biden expressed his support for Kamala Harris' presidential campaign.

During the meeting, he criticized comedian Tony Hinchcliffe for his derogatory joke about Puerto Rico at a recent Trump rally.

Biden assured the Latino voters that the only "garbage" he saw were Trump supporters. "The only garbage I see floating out there are his supporters," Biden stated, referring to a significant portion of the American electorate. He continued, "His demonization of people is unconscionable and it's unAmerican," ironically while criticizing those who plan to vote or have already voted for Donald Trump.

According to The Post Millennial, the White House made an effort to clarify Biden's statement, asserting that he was referring to the rhetoric of Trump's supporters rather than the supporters themselves. White House spokesman Andrew Bates released a transcript of the virtual meeting that included an apostrophe in "supporters" to support their argument.

Biden himself tried to control the damage by posting, "Earlier today I referred to the hateful rhetoric about Puerto Rico spewed by Trump's supporter at his Madison Square Garden rally as garbagewhich is the only word I can think of to describe it. His demonization of Latinos is unconscionable. That's all I meant to say. The comments at that rally don't reflect who we are as a nation."

In response to Biden's comments, Trump, while on stage in Pennsylvania, recalled Hillary Clinton's infamous "deplorable" comment. "You remember Hillary, she said deplorable, then she said irredeemable, right, but she said deplorable, that didn't work out. But I think garbage is worse, right?" Trump then suggested forgiveness for Biden, who "really doesn't know" what he said.

The Trump campaign also responded to Biden's comments, indicating that the political battle is far from over.
