In a recent expos by O'Keefe Media Group, a senior software engineer at Meta, previously known as Facebook, has been caught on tape discussing the company's censorship tactics against those who criticize Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris and her party.

The revelations are part of a series titled "The Meta Tapes."

According to The Post Millennial, the undercover journalist questioned Jeevan Gyawali, a Senior Software Engineer at Meta, about the company's approach to alleged hate speech from the Republican Party. Gyawali explained that Meta's Integrity Team, a "pretty significant team," develops "civic classifiers," a comprehensive model trained on civic content.

Gyawali elaborated, "Unconnected stuff is not going to show up in your feed." He added, "Like ads I think can show up and they probably have a whole different process of vetting ads, but like, unconnected content, like, say your uncle in, like, Ohio said something about Kamala Harris is unfit to be president because she doesnt have a child. That kind of sh*t is automatically demoted."

He emphasized the potency of the civic classifier, stating that any content that violates this would be "demoted 100 percent."

James OKeefe, the founder of O'Keefe Media Group, recalled a 2019 Facebook insider who exposed the platform's "deboosting" practices. He also mentioned an insider video that surfaced years later, showing CEO Mark Zuckerberg and another top executive discussing their punitive measures against "truth seekers."

OKeefe pointed out the continuity of these practices, stating, "Now, in 2024, Jeevan from Meta, previously Facebook, mentioning continued practices of demoting content just a few weeks before the presidential election."

When the undercover journalist inquired if the demoted individuals would be informed, Gyawali confirmed they would not. He further revealed that repeated violations of the civic classifier would result in the user being "redlisted," effectively shadowbanning their content.

Addressing concerns about a potential "repeat of 2016 in 2024," Gyawali disclosed that Meta had established a "SWAT team" in April to anticipate and prevent potential platform abuses.

In a startling admission, Gyawali conceded that Meta could influence the election outcome and that Mark Zuckerberg would aid the Democrats' victory. When OKeefe later confronted Gyawali over the phone about the undercover journalist's true identity, Gyawali responded with an expletive before abruptly ending the call. This incident underscores the growing concerns about big tech's potential interference in political discourse and elections.
