Hank Sheinkopf, a New York-based strategist, has voiced his concerns about the President's lukewarm support for Harris's White House run.
According to Mediaite, Sheinkopf has suggested that Biden's tepid endorsement of Harris is both a demonstration of power and a reminder of who still holds the reins. "It would be absolutely ridiculous to assume that he has no resentment over how he was treated or how, frankly, he was forced out in what some would describe as a coup," Sheinkopf stated.
However, Andrew Bates, a spokesman for the Biden administration, has refuted these claims, insisting that Biden harbors no ill-will towards Harris. Bates highlighted that Biden was quick to endorse Harris in July, making his support "clear."
In contrast, Jason Meister, an adviser for former President Donald Trump, echoed Trump's previous assertions that Biden holds a grudge against Harris. Meister alleged that Biden is "intentionally enacting revenge on Kamala for knifing him in the back," adding that Biden "never liked her."
Trump himself has repeatedly claimed that Biden "hates" his vice president. At a recent rally in Scranton, Trump veered off-topic from the economy to accuse Harris of orchestrating a "coup" to force Biden out of the race. He speculated that Biden "hates her almost as much as he hates me," predicting a significant clash between Biden and Harris before the November 5 Election Day.
