Marc Benioff FUMES: Kamala Has No Time For TIME!

Written by Published

Marc Benioff, the proprietor of TIME Magazine, has expressed his dissatisfaction with Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris for her refusal to grant an interview to his media organization.

This comes as a surprise, given that TIME, which once stood as a beacon of influential journalism under the stewardship of Henry Luce, had previously featured a complimentary cover of Harris following her nomination as the Democratic candidate after President Joe Biden's exit from the presidential race.

"Despite multiple requests, TIME has not been granted an interview with Kamala Harris unlike every other Presidential candidate," Benioff stated, as reported by The Post Millennial. He further questioned the Vice President's lack of engagement with the public, saying, "We believe in transparency and publish each interview in full. Why isnt the Vice President engaging with the public on the same level?"

Benioff continued to express his disappointment, noting the stark contrast between Harris and other political figures. "Harris declined repeated requests for an interview for this story. In contrast, Trump talked about his policy vision with a TIME reporter for 90 minutes across two interviews. Biden spoke to TIME at similar length before dropping out of the race, he added.

On Friday, TIME published an online article about Harris, but it was noticeably devoid of any personal insights from the Vice President about her life or political views. Charlotte, a TIME journalist, noted in her piece that Harris tends to favor local media, culture podcasts, or friendly talk shows when she does agree to interviews, subtly highlighting the Vice President's avoidance of a TIME interview.

Despite her reluctance to participate in serious news interviews, Harris has consented to an interview with Fox News host Brett Baier, scheduled for Wednesday. However, she seems more comfortable appearing on programs such as The View, the risqu Call Her Daddy podcast, The Howard Stern Show, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Her foray into a CBS interview for 60 Minutes, however, proved to be a debacle.

Recent polls suggest that Harris' campaign is losing momentum, with her popularity waning in crucial battleground states, a stark contrast to the initial "honeymoon" period of her candidacy. This raises questions about her strategy and the potential impact of her selective media engagement on her campaign's performance.
