In Aurora, Colorado, a real estate management company has been subjected to a brutal onslaught by the notorious Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua.

The company, CBZ Management, reported that one of their employees was savagely beaten by gang members after he denied them occupancy in an empty apartment. The company further claimed that the gang has seized control of "several" properties, a fact that has been largely downplayed in media reports.

According to The Post Millennial, CBZ Management, headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, has been under siege by Tren de Aragua. The gang has reportedly taken over multiple apartment complexes, using threats and extortion to demand a portion of the rent if CBZ Management retains control of the properties. The company has sought assistance from local police and the FBI to halt the gang's extortion operation, but their pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

"In an attempt to discredit this fact for political purposes and avoid governmental accountability, some have spread false information about our situation," the company lamented. CBZ Management began managing several apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado in 2019. Initially, the properties were in poor condition, but the company managed to turn things around.

"Everything was progressing smoothly: property values were rising, and vacancy rates were dropping. It was a win-win for both the owners and the city of Aurora. Then, the gangs arrived," the company revealed. The arrival of the gang led to a surge in crime and tenant complaints, culminating in a brutal attack on a CBZ representative in late 2023.

"He had gone to inspect a recently vacated three-bedroom apartment (a rare occurrence for such a large unit) only to find a group of men already inside. When he refused their $500 bribe to overlook the situation, they brutally attacked him," the company disclosed. The employee was subsequently threatened by gang members.

While the company has been grappling with the gang's activities, CBZ Management has also faced criticism for its management of the properties. The Mayor of Aurora branded the property managers as "slumlords" from out of state, coinciding with the time when the gang issue was gaining national attention.

Earlier this year, the owner of the complexes was compelled to sell them due to a protracted legal battle against him and the company. However, CBZ Management has accused the local government of Aurora of obscuring the gang issue with "drummed up 'code violations'" to shift the blame onto the company. The company maintains that it received perfect inspections in 2022 and 2023 and promptly addressed any violations.

"Despite clear evidence, many still deny the reality of the situation, sometimes using us as scapegoats. Thats why we are no longer staying silent. We will continue to counter falsehoods with simple facts and evidence. Yes, gangs did take control of our apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado, and the government did nothing. That is the real story, the company asserted.
