North Carolina Gubernatorial Candidate Mark Robinson Files Defamation Lawsuit Against CNN!

In a recent development, North Carolina's Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson has initiated legal proceedings against CNN, accusing the media outlet of publishing a report that he deems as defamatory and reckless.

The report in question alleges that Robinson made explicit racial and sexual comments on a pornography website's message board.

According to ABC News, the lawsuit was filed in Wake County Superior Court, following a television report that resulted in several GOP elected officials and candidates, including former presidential nominee Donald Trump, distancing themselves from Robinson's gubernatorial campaign. The announcement of the lawsuit was made at a press conference in Raleigh.

The lawsuit alleges that CNN decided to publish the report despite being aware or recklessly disregarding the fact that Robinson's personal data, including his name, date of birth, passwords, and the email address supposedly linked to the NudeAfrica account, had been compromised by multiple data breaches. CNN, however, has declined to comment on the matter, as stated by spokesperson Emily Kuhn.

The timing of the CNN report coincided with polls indicating a lead for Democratic rival Josh Stein, the incumbent attorney general, over Robinson. Early in-person voting is set to commence this Thursday statewide, with over 50,000 completed absentee ballots already received.

The contentious CNN report claims that Robinson, over a decade ago, made statements on the message board where he referred to himself as a "black NAZI," expressed enjoyment of transgender pornography, voiced a preference for Hitler over then-President Barack Obama, and criticized the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. as "worse than a maggot." These allegations, if proven, could significantly impact Robinson's political career and the conservative values he represents.
