Caught, Released, And Caught Again: The ABSURD Saga Of An Illegal Immigrant Child Rapist

In a controversial move, a Massachusetts court has released an illegal immigrant, accused of child rape, back into the community, despite the fact that Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) agents were actively seeking his detention.

The accused, Maynor Francisco Hernandez-Rodas, a 38-year-old Guatemalan national, is now in federal custody.

As reported by The Post Millennial, Hernandez-Rodas is believed to be one of the countless "gotaways," illegal immigrants who successfully cross the border without being apprehended or deported. He was initially charged in June with the aggravated forcible rape of a minor in Massachusetts.

ERO agents managed to apprehend Hernandez-Rodas in Lowell, Massachusetts, on September 20, as per a statement from ERO Boston. "Maynor Francisco Hernandez-Rodas stands accused of horrific crimes against a Massachusetts child," said Patricia Hyde, ERO Boston acting Field Office Director. "He represents a significant danger to the children of our community that we will not tolerate."

The timeline of Hernandez-Rodas' illegal entry into the US remains undetermined by ERO. He was first arrested by Lowell police on June 20 on charges of aggravated child rape and rape of a child with force. On June 28, ERO, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), declared him wanted for illegal presence in the country.

However, following his arraignment on the rape charges at Middlesex County Superior Court, Hernandez-Rodas was released.

The court "ignored ERO Boston's immigration detainer and released Hernandez-Rodas from custody on an unknown date," according to the source. It was also noted that Hernandez-Rodas had a previous criminal record, having served time in a Connecticut prison.

In September 2011, Hernandez-Rodas was convicted of breach of peace in Bridgeport District Court and sentenced to six months in prison. He was again found guilty of a similar charge in May 2016 by Norwalk District Court and fined $100.

This incident comes at a time when the deportation rate of convicted criminal illegal immigrants in the United States has dropped by 74 percent under the Biden-Harris administration, despite the influx of tens of millions of illegal immigrants into the country. This raises questions about the administration's commitment to ensuring public safety and upholding immigration laws.
