Inside Job Or Censorship? Reddit Bans Forum On Trump Assassination PlotDetails Finally Surface!

In a move that has raised eyebrows, Reddit, the popular social forum and news aggregator, has banned a forum dedicated to discussing Thomas M.

Crooks, the man who attempted to assassinate former President Donald J. Trump.

The incident, which occurred on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania, ended with Crooks being neutralized by snipers.

According to The Post Millennial, Reddit justified the ban by stating that the "Thomas Crooks" subreddit had violated its "rules against posting violent content." An examination of the subreddit's archive reveals that it was a highly engaged forum, with its exact removal date remaining uncertain. The forum was a hub for discussions related to the assassination attempt on the life of the 2024 GOP nominee, with topics ranging from details about Crooks, security lapses on the day of the incident, and speculation about the attempt being an inside job.

Reddit, however, did not provide specific examples of the violent content that supposedly contravened its policies. This move by Reddit to censor information about the assassination attempt aligns with similar actions taken by other major tech platforms, such as Google and Facebook, especially as the US 2024 Presidential Election looms.

Both Google and Facebook have faced backlash for their attempts to suppress the story, which is considered one of the most significant events in US history. Google was accused of removing the assassination attempt from its autocomplete search engine, while Facebook faced criticism for warning users against sharing photographs of President Trump raising his fist in the air after the shooting at a rally, falsely claiming they were AI-generated.

Following allegations of election interference from the Trump campaign and Republican lawmakers, both tech giants have since rectified their errors. However, like Reddit, both Google and Facebook cited violations of violent content as their reason for censorship.
