Elon Musks Secret Power Move: How Hes Using The @America Account To Back Trump!

Elon Musk, the world's wealthiest individual and owner of X, has recently taken control of the @America handle on his social media platform.

The account is now being utilized to promote his support for Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate. Musk, who was present at Trump's rally in Pennsylvania, has linked the handle to his pro-Trump super PAC, America Pac.

The @America account was previously registered to a different user since 2010 but has remained dormant for the past four years, as reported by journalist Matt Binder in The New York Post. According to X's policies, the platform has the authority to reclaim inactive accounts. However, the company does not provide a precise definition of what constitutes an inactive account, merely suggesting that users log in at least once every 30 days to maintain their account's active status.

The original @America user now operates under the handle @America123_12. The posts from this account, some of which have criticized both Trump and Musk, are still available under the new handle. In a 2019 post, the user wrote, Just woke up and found out Donald TRUMP is the president of me?..Brb. The user also responded to Musk's 2020 post that read FREE AMERICA NOW by saying, Freedom is not the question here, its safety. Youre irresponsible. Are you even a full time resident?

The social media platform had previously reclaimed the @X handle from its long-term user last year, coinciding with the app's rebranding under Musk's ownership. Musk's personal account bio now directs users to the @America account to understand why Im supporting Trump for President.

The @America account bio read on Monday, America PAC was created to support candidates who champion Secure Borders, Sensible Spending, Safe Cities, Fair Justice System, Free Speech and Self-Protection. The America PAC is primarily focused on registering voters and encouraging Americans to vote early and via mail-in ballots in swing states, a strategy designed to counteract Democrats' get out the vote campaigns.

The PAC is currently incentivizing supporters by offering $47 for each registered voter they refer who signs a petition in support of the First and Second Amendments. The account also shared a video of Musk attending Sunday nights NFL game in Pittsburgh between the Steelers and the Dallas Cowboys. The video depicts him waving a terrible towel from a suite during his visit to the key swing state.

The super PAC is reportedly supported by other major investors such as Palantir Technologies co-founder Joe Lonsdale and the Winklevoss twins, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Musk, the founder of Tesla and SpaceX, has become increasingly vocal in his support for Republican candidates. He joined Trump on stage during a rally in Butler, Pa. on Saturday, the site of the first assassination attempt on the former president. President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution, Musk said. He must win to preserve democracy in America.

Musk's support for the Republican party extends beyond words; he has also provided financial backing. In August, he donated $289,100 to the National Republican Congressional Committee, as per Federal Election Commission records.
