Caught RED Handed! University Of Michigan Grads Linked To Espionage Scandal Near CCP Battery Plant Site

Five Chinese alumni of the University of Michigan are facing charges of conspiracy, making false statements to investigators, and destroying records during a federal investigation.

The individuals were apprehended with cameras on the premises of Camp Grayling, the largest US National Guard training facility in the United States, located in Grayling, Michigan. The students claimed they were there to observe a meteor shower, but their presence coincided with military exercises involving Taiwanese forces, raising suspicions of espionage.

According to M-Live, the five suspects, Zhekai Xu, Renxiang Guan, Haoming Zhu, Yi Liang, and Jingzhe Tao, graduated from the University of Michigan in May 2024. They were discovered on the US military training base in 2023, near tents, military vehicles, and sensitive communications equipment. Court records reveal that the students were part of a joint program with Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

As reported by MSN, the students were found at Bear Lake on the camps property after midnight on Aug. 13, 2023. Approximately 7,000 military officials, including some from Taiwan, were participating in live firing exercises at the time. A U.S. sergeant major discovered the students taking photos near classified equipment and soldiers sleeping in tents. One of the students claimed they were members of the Chinese media, but they quickly left the area when instructed to do so by the sergeant major.

Local police later located the students in a Super 8 motel in Grayling. A subsequent investigation of financial transactions revealed they were close associates, with Xu having booked the room a week before the encounter at Bear Lake. Guan was intercepted in mid-December at Detroit Metropolitan Airport before a flight to Shanghai. Customs agents found evidence in Guans external hard drive of two photos of military vehicles at Camp Grayling. Guan denied having interactions with U.S. military, government, or police in northern Michigan.

Investigators discovered messages on the Chinese messaging app WeChat that showed the group discussing their trip to Camp Grayling. Tao discussed the interaction with the sergeant major, while Liang and Guan discussed deleting photos and messages to avoid agents thinking, we are colluding. The students left the United States after graduation in May 2024. Their current whereabouts or custody status is unknown.

The Camp Grayling training facility is less than 100 miles south of the controversial proposed CCP battery plant site in Big Rapids, MI, a project championed by Michigans Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Camp Grayling has been training troops from Taiwan, a territory many believe China is preparing to invade. This raises questions about why Governor Whitmer and Democrats in the Michigan legislature would support a battery plant tied to the CCP so close to Camp Grayling.

In Oct. 2022, the Gateway Pundit reported on the $715 million taxpayer-funded effort courted by Governor Whitmer to open the battery plant located on Michigans fourth largest watershed. Despite Whitmer's praise of the plan as the biggest ever economic development project in Northern Michigan, she overlooked the communitys environmental impacts and potential security risks.

Lori Brock, a Green Twp resident, owner of a local real estate agency, and Friesian horse ranch owner, has one of the largest parcels of land near the proposed Gotion plant. Brock has been a vocal opponent of the Chinese battery plant and the Michigan Democrat Party machine. After hosting a rally with over 100 attendees from across the state of Michigan, a Right to Farm complaint was filed against her, alleging manure run-off from Brocks farm into tributaries of the Muskegon River. Brock believes the complaint was merely harassment.

When a representative from the Agriculture and Rural Development office arrived at Loris farm, media and camera crews were waiting. The representative apologized for the visit and expressed confusion about why she was sent to the farm, which was clearly well-maintained.

Brock was the first to expose a clause in Gotions business filings during a radio interview with Chuck Thelan, Gotions VP of North America. The clause states the battery company shall set up a party organization and carry out party activities in accordance with the constitution of the Communist Party of China.

In a victory for Michigan residents, the Gateway Pundit reported on August 13, 2024, that Gotion has decided to abandon its attempts to purchase more farmland in the Big Rapids/Green Twp. area. This decision underscores the power of local activism and the importance of vigilance in protecting national security interests.
