This Is INSANE: Ohio Womans Chilling Murder Of Husband Captured On Dashcam

In a chilling turn of events, an Ohio woman, Amanda Hovanec, has been handed a 40-year federal prison sentence for the calculated murder of her husband, a crime that was inadvertently captured on the victim's vehicle dashcam.

The 37-year-old woman's lover, Anthony Theodorou, and her mother, Anita Green, were also sentenced on the same day for their roles in the death of Timothy Hovanec, as stated by the United States Attorneys Office of the Northern District of Ohio.

As reported by Western Journal, Timothy Hovanec had been reported missing on April 24, 2022, after he had dropped off their three children at Green's residence, where Amanda was living at the time. The couple was in the throes of a divorce that had been initiated in 2020, with Amanda denying Timothy visitation rights to their children.

The alarm about Timothy's disappearance was first raised by the staff at Best Western, who discovered his belongings untouched in his hotel room. Given Timothy's employment with the federal government, the FBI was promptly involved in the case. His abandoned vehicle was later found in Dayton, where investigators discovered a dashcam that would prove pivotal in the case.

The dashcam footage from the day Timothy dropped off the children revealed a disturbing sequence of events. Green is seen hurriedly ushering the children inside, followed by the audio capture of an apparent altercation. Timothy's voice is heard asking, What the heck are you doing? Did you just assault me? and Get away from me! The video then shows Amanda attacking Timothy, holding him by the neck until he ceased struggling and lay motionless. She then removed his smartwatch and phone before shutting off the car, thereby ending the recording.

Upon being questioned by authorities, Amanda confessed to her crime. She admitted to injecting her husband with M-99, a potent veterinary tranquilizer approximately 1,000 times stronger than morphine. She detailed how she had abandoned the car and buried Timothy's body in a nearby woodland area. Amanda also confessed that she was aware the poison would result in her husband's death within minutes.

Theodorou, who had procured the M-99 for Amanda, revealed that she believed killing her husband was the only way to prevent the children from spending the summer with their father. U.S. Attorney Rebecca Lutzko condemned Amanda's actions as "cold-blooded, calculated and cruel." Lutzko further stated, Her extreme malevolence toward her husband and complete disregard for how his murder would affect their innocent children is incomprehensible and unforgiveable.

Theodorou received an 18-year sentence for distribution of a controlled substance resulting in death and conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance resulting in death. Green, who had driven Amanda and Theodorou to the burial site, pleaded guilty to being an accessory to the crimes and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. This case serves as a stark reminder of the depths of human depravity and the devastating consequences of such heinous acts.
