In a recent incident at Arizona State University, a transgender student, Rebecca Kimpel, has been charged with assault after allegedly dousing Kari Lake's daughter with a drink as she was registering voters on campus.
The incident was detailed in a police report obtained by the Gateway Pundit.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the police report identifies the alleged assailant as a female. However, a video linked to Rebecca Kimpels Instagram account suggests otherwise. The incident occurred during Turning Point Actions Greek Voter Registration event, leaving Ruby Halperin, Lake's daughter, and her voter registration papers drenched.
Rebecca Kimpel, who interfered with the democratic process by allegedly intimidating voters and volunteers, was charged with one count of assault. Halperin shared her perspective with The Gateway Pundit, stating, "I think its a total violation of voter registration rights, and I believe it was an attempt to intimidate those registering to vote that day."
The report further reveals that Kimpel, an ASU film and production student, admitted to the assault, telling officers, "They were talking about Trump, which got her upset. She tossed a cup of soda at the people around the booth and ran." Despite the apparent political motivation behind the attack, Arizona does not recognize political affiliation as a protected class for hate crimes. As a result, the police noted "None (no bias)" in the "Bias Motivation" section of the report.
The report also states, "Rebecca was cited and released for assault at the scene." Further investigation led to the discovery of an X account under the username @hltler_dlsliker, which shares the same name as the alleged assailant. The biography of the account identifies the user as a "filmmaker," and the user's location is Phoenix, Arizona.
Days after the incident, a post on the account requested assistance with legal fees and provided a link to a PayPal account. Another post on the account stated, "I'm a broke trans woman." The post also referenced a suspended account with the same username as Rebecca's Instagram page.
