Ryan Wesley Routh, the man accused of attempting to assassinate former President Donald Trump, has penned a disturbing letter confessing his failed endeavor.
In the same letter, Routh shockingly offers a bounty of $150,000 to anyone willing to "finish the job."
As reported by Daily Mail, the letter, which was released by the Department of Justice and obtained by DailyMail.com, reveals Routh's admission of his unsuccessful assassination attempt. "This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job," Routh wrote in the letter.
Addressed to 'the world,' the letter also criticizes Trump's handling of international relations, particularly with Iran. Routh wrote that Trump had "ended relations with Iran like a child and now the Middle East has unraveled."
Routh is scheduled to face a federal court on Monday for a detention hearing following his attempted assassination on September 15 at Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the threats faced by public figures, particularly those who uphold conservative values and principles. It also raises questions about the security measures in place to protect such individuals and the potential implications of such threats on the stability of our society.
