In a recent development, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) has criticized Israel for an attack that resulted in the death of 12 individuals and left nearly 3,000 injured in Lebanon.

The majority of the casualties were officials associated with the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

As reported by Breitbart, Ocasio-Cortez took to X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, to express her condemnation. She held Israel accountable for the attack, which has yet to be formally claimed by the nation, and criticized the resulting civilian casualties. However, she failed to acknowledge the Hezbollah connection or the fact that the attack was primarily aimed at terrorists.

The devices used in the attack, pagers, were reportedly in the possession of senior Hezbollah members. Among the casualties was a young girl who lost her life when a pager exploded in her home. However, the majority of the victims were Hezbollah members and government officials closely linked to the group, including the Iranian ambassador who was injured. A subsequent wave of attacks targeting walkie-talkies occurred in Lebanon on Wednesday.

The Israeli government has reported that Hezbollah has launched over 8,000 rockets at Israel since October, initiating a series of unprovoked attacks. These assaults have resulted in 46 deaths, 294 injuries, and sparked 838 fires in northern Israel.
