In the recent presidential debate, Donald Trump, the Republican nominee, took a swipe at Kamala Harris, questioning her inaction on promises made during her 2024 campaign.
Harris, in her closing statements, had focused on her stance on abortion and her past experience as a prosecutor in California.
According to The Post Millennial, Trump retorted, "So she just started by saying she's going to do this. She's going to do that. She's going to do all these wonderful things. Why hasn't she done it?" The former president underscored that Harris, as the Vice President, has been in office "for three and a half years" and yet, has failed to take substantial action on key issues such as the economy, job creation, and illegal immigration.
Trump further questioned, "They've had three and a half years to fix the border. They've had three and a half years to create jobs and all the things we talked about. Why hasn't she done it?" He also criticized the Biden-Harris administration's foreign policy failures, stating, "We don't have any idea what's going on. We have wars going on in the Middle East. We have wars going on with Russia and Ukraine. We're going to end up in a third world war, and it will be a war like no other."
The debate, aired on ABC, sparked a flurry of social media comments accusing the moderators of bias towards Kamala Harris. Linsey Davis, one of the moderators, was called out for spreading the false claim that "there is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it's born. This statement overlooks the fact that several states permit the death of babies born in failed abortions. Trump's pointed critique of Harris's tenure and the administration's policy failures underscores the conservative concern for limited government and individual freedom.
