WATCH: Illegal Immigrant Makes HORRIFIC Confession In Louisiana

In a shocking incident near New Orleans, an illegal immigrant, likened to a "ghost" by the police, has reportedly admitted to the abduction and sexual assault of a teenage girl under knife threat.

The suspect, 23-year-old Diego Rodriguez-Salvador, was apprehended on September 4, following allegations of enticing a 13-year-old girl into his vehicle, driving her to his residence in Kenner, Louisiana, and sexually assaulting her.

According to The Post Millennial, Rodriguez-Salvador, an undocumented immigrant from Honduras, allegedly persuaded the teenage sister of a friend to join him in his car under the pretext of a trip to a nearby store. When the journey took an unexpected turn, the girl was reportedly threatened with a knife, sexually assaulted, and then abandoned near her home, as Rodriguez-Salvador sped away, as per the account of the Kenner Police Department.

The police were alerted to the incident at 7:45 pm that evening, and were able to connect Rodriguez-Salvador to a white 2013 Nissan Altima. Following a phone conversation, the suspect surrendered and was taken into custody. Local station WSDU reported that Rodriguez-Salvador confessed to the crime.

Kenner Police Chief Keith Conley described the suspect as akin to "a ghost," due to his lack of identifiable information beyond his Honduran origin and illegal entry into the United States at an unspecified time and location. "Diego has undocumented status in the United States and detectives are working closely with Homeland Security Investigations to obtain any additional information that could assist in his identification..." stated the Kenner Police Department. Conley expressed his outrage at the incident, stating, "This mans a coward. Overpowered a 13-year-old girl. As a father Im saddened, and as police chief, Im furious," as reported by a local Fox News affiliate.

Rodriguez-Salvador now faces charges of second-degree kidnapping and second-degree rape of a juvenile victim, marking a grim reminder of the potential dangers posed by undocumented immigrants.
